Peace and quiet in Ponto do Pargo
Far away from mass tourism, we have 3 houses in Ponto do Pargo, the uttermost west of the island of Madeira. Our houses lie between vineyards, fields and meadows, 3 km from the village of Santo. In Salao you will find a pharmacy, a doctor and dentist, minimarkets, restaurants, the post office and the municipal building with internet access. Also from Salao you can take the bus to Funchal and Porto Moniz.
By car, it is only 30 minutes to the southern coastal villages of Calheta, Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar with fishing harbours, pebble and sandy beaches, restaurants and excursions to whales and dolphin viewing.
Closer by, you will find Achada da Cruz with a cable cart to sea and the high plains of the island. To the North is Porto Moniz, which has natural swimming pools in the sea.

find the maps of the routes in our houses.
The climate in Madeira is moderate year round, no hot summers or cold winters. Temperatures seldom go above 27 oC or below 12 oC. Most humid months are from November till March.
